Amen! Your young pastor is not the only one like this; there are many who await the day when the TLM will be liberated. I would appreciate it if more of them took a bolder step of continuing with the TLM in spite of prohibition, as was necessary in the 1970s to ensure the continuation of tradition; but I realize that not all tradition-loving priests are ready for such a step.

We have a new Bishop who was called from among the ranks of our own Priests, a wonderful man, but he's been in this office only 6 mos and has graciously allowed many changes (including allowing this young Priest to cover the absences - prior to that the TLM priest had to seek someone from FSSP or not take time off, grrr), but this early in assuming that office I don't think he's ready to challenge the Pope {yet}.
